“Highway to Heaven”
Malte Klagenberg’s work deals with the collision between the noisy highway and the peaceful forest. Now his work can be seen in ArtParken – more specifically in the little brook to the south by the highway. It consists of a transparent plexiglas plate on iron stand with an engraved drawing of an exotic waterfall.
Malte says about his work:
“If you go for a walk in the woods, you’ll be greeted immediately by the sound of the E20 highway. This will inevitably reduce your experience of nature. With my work “Highway to Heaven” I try to turn the disturbance into something positive by transforming the noise from the highway to the sound of rushing water when contemplating the drawing of the waterfall. ”
