Hollufgård is an international artist residence, which every year attracts contemporary artists from all over the world. Our professionally equipped workshops house a vibrant local artist scene. The sculpture park is located in a historic manor house environment, surrounded by magnificent nature. In the park we show a wide range of contemporary art, the most part created in our own workshops.
We offer stays of usually 1-6 months for Danish and foreign artists and make all facilities available within the classic branches of painting, graphics and sculpture.
In addition, we frequently offer high-profile residency programs on contemporary topics. Hollufgård is a member of Res Artis, a residency network that includes more than 500 institutions in 70 countries.
The heart of our work are the professional workshops with a vibrant professional artist community, which is rooted in the Artists’ Association of. Workshop facilities include painting, graphics, wood, metal and stone.
The sculpture park is visited by a large audience every year. What we offer is unique, because Hollufgård gathers the entire food chain og art making in one place: International residents and local artists use our workshops to create site-specific works for the park exhibition.
The sculpture park combines contemporary art, cultural heritage and nature. We create experiences that cross the boundaries between artwork and nature and between heritage and future.
A focal pont in creating the sculpture park is to put emphasis on the keywords physical and mental health. We aim to develop infrastructures and activities that make the park a place to be explored actively with body and mind.
Hollufgård collaborates with a large number of local and regional players and is an active player in the strengthening and further development of the Funen art scene.
We work closely with the Funen Academy of Fine Arts, partly on sharing our workshop facilities and practical, workshop-based education of the students, partly on cultural communication and exhibition events.
With AiR Fyn, we have taken the initiative for a Funen network of residencies that is to create future joint residency programs and events across the island.
Hollufgård aims at climate-friendly operation and art production. Furthermore, we place great emphasis on diversity and wish to promote a progressive agenda across ethnicity, gender, identity and sexuality.
Hollufgård’s daily work is based on the set of values formulated in the tool “Fællesskaber I fokus” (Communities in focus). Fif is a universal tool for strengthening the individual and the group in relation to well-being, development, structure, narrative and goals. Fif has been developed by the Region of Southern Denmark in collaboration with the Design School Kolding and the Department of Sport and Biomechanics at SDU, based on experiences from the projects ‘Health, Culture and Nature’ and ‘Youth and Well-being in Communities’.
